The soul atmosphere of this etheric Michaelic workshop, laboratory and factory, is pervaded by the Stimmung of deeply felt sacredness, seriousness, and festivity, enlivened and rejuvenated by our devotion to truth, self-knowledge, and the divine being of our co-workers. What we do in our meetings is our main goal: to let the etheric human being in us grow so powerfully that we can work with the etheric life forces, to give true life to the incarnating souls, to the children, adolescents and adult of the present age of Michael.
First, let me thank the friends who spoke now from the work in the groups. This was very touching and encouraging to hear how real substance was spoken about. One could experience through each one of you, the way you spoke about the meetings, how, as Thomas just said, new reality is experienced. It becomes an existential experience in the meeting itself. New substance is created- not mere ideas and concepts were shared and discussed. Real life, etheric substance, fresh and vibrant, was practiced, actualized, embodied. If we experience this new creation of life forces, of etheric substance, in our meetings, we also feel that the warmth that is created is not our self-centered self-warmth, warming ourselves, because naturally we like to warm ourselves and hug ourselves, and many people call this ‘love’ because in the presence of the ‘beloved’ person they feel good.
But true love comes from the real meeting with another human being. Because we get to know them better and deeper in each meeting, we meet something objective, outside our bodies and body bound soul forces, that stream back to us from the real world that we meet. It's not just our wishes and desires to feel better, to feel good, to feel happy, that make us use the other person to warm us up, as we use a fire place or warm coat. We want to meet the other, to know the true being of the other, and we invest our inner fire power, our love filled will, our devoted heart force in the meeting. And through the devotion to his being, this love that we address to his true being, the devotion to truth of his and her being, this true love that is turned and directed outside, is reflected back as warmth that we may definitely enjoy and be happy about. But then it's a reflex of the true love and devotion that we first sent out. It's coming back from the objective love that we invested in knowing and objective other being, object or event in nature and cosmos. Then this comes back to us as the light that illuminates us. And then if we feel this warmth it is justified. It's not an egotistical warmth that is simply our own blood warmth surging and embracing itself, touching itself, enjoying self-touch and self-embrace, using the presence of the other person only as warming up devise. It's very pure; it's very objective. And it's true ‘Michaelic love’ as Rudolf Steiner called it. And what is more, as we said, it is creating real new substance of life and growth and healing. And this is, as we always emphasize, our main task in our present time. We must become creators of life's new and fresh substance.
This is why I also shared with you in my last mail something about the work that the college is doing currently to prepare the next steps of the development of our impulse in the world: the concept of the Etheric Human, the etheric human being. Because you might have wondered, who is this etheric human being, and how can I get to know him? Well, as a matter of fact, each one of us is this etheric human being. And we are growing increasingly into this etheric human being because that's the next level that we grow into. After the physical, the next one is this etheric level. And we have to learn to recognize this human etheric being, learn how to work with those forces, learn all the arts and crafts and rituals of the etheric world, how to work in this etheric world and make use of these forces for the work in the physical world. So, this human being, this etheric human being that grows in each one of us, is really born out of the work that we are doing. This is the important thing: we feel and experience that this substance is growing in us in a positive sense. I become more human. I grow into my true humanity. I am more consolidated as a human being. I become more loving, more compassionate, and more interested in the world. I know more and more people better and deeper. I know the world better and deeper. And I feel my humanity is growing.
This feeling of humanity that is growing, deepening, and becoming substantial—this is the first experience of this etheric human being. Because in the etheric world, this is simply the reality. It's the basic stuff of daily life, the very substance of life, because it's the world of life, of purest life. And there we have to build our place of work. From there we want to speak to humanity today in the universal language of the heart that Anthroposophia is striving to teach us. Words that have life giving power, thinking that has life giving power, feelings and will impulses and ways of life that have life giving power, that can truly change the real world, interact with the real social, cultural, economic and technological world, to give an answer to the needs of our time. And the school is the life giving fountainhead and source spring where the new life forces are generated. We should come to school meetings to be regenerated and recharged. We come to the meetings to be and become, to receive and develop those forces, and then we go out and give it to all life. We can give them to other people. We can give to other people our life giving interest and recognition of who they truly are, our life giving sharing of our common humanness, that we develop in the school.
Now each small human meeting becomes immensely meaningful. It can be as short as one look; it can be a small conversation on the road, in the office, or on the train. It doesn't matter; it can be so deepening, so real, so energizing, because we feel that each meeting reveals to us something of the mystery of the human being and existence, on earth and the cosmos. And the more people we meet this way, the more substantially human we become. We feel much more alive, awake, real. It becomes our daily renewed existence that has more substance and more reality to it. And then we can be life-givers to the world. And this is, of course, what the world is so sorely in need today.
We have to start with the renewed foundation stone, and share it with each other, until the ‘not you, but Christ in you’ becomes our immediate, spontaneous, perception. On this we build the new Michaelic school community, as the center of everything. And this is taken up to the Angles, Archangels and Archai, in the reversed cultus. We lift up and share with them the renewed foundation stone, the fruits of the human meeting and community building, and receive from them the strength and courage and wisdom, to create the communal chalice for Anthroposophia, the new group soul of the Michaeli movement.
We will notice increasingly, as we develop this path, that a second, new human being is growing in us, and then we will feel we want to reach out to the very beginning and foundations of human life. We want, in the light of this, to really begin to help new souls to incarnate and grow into this world. Becoming true kids, youth, and adults. Becoming a true human, developing a true biography. So many people today go through life without creating any real biography. It's just an empty shadow; it never touches reality. We want to help people come to the world, to help those souls that wish to incarnate today, to help those parents that wish to bring children to the world today, help the people who would like to help them grow and develop through their youth and adolescence into the fulness of mature, creative, self-actualizing adult life.
This is a major task today because, as a matter of fact, it is already very difficult for souls to incarnate on the earth. And it's becoming all the time more difficult, so much so that many souls cannot incarnate even if they wish, and many don't want to incarnate, even if they have to. And many that want to incarnate and have to are rejected by humans because humans don't want them. Today it's very different from what it was even a short time ago. To incarnate today, to be born on earth, to become human, is a huge project, very complicated, very dangerous, and very difficult. And without help from here, this will become more and more impossible. And this is, of course, the goal of the Ahrimanic and Luciferic spirits, that they want to prevent the incarnation especially of the right souls, naturally, not their souls. Of course, souls that are already under the influence of Lucifer and Ahriman, they help to come down. We are talking about the truly good souls. They do everything to prevent good souls that have spiritual potential from incarnating today on Earth. And unfortunately, we have to say, they are pretty successful in that. The spiritual world nearest to earth is full of souls who are waiting to incarnate and cannot do that. Among them are very good souls that have to come to earth because they have a task to fulfill, and they simply don't find the way to incarnate. They struggle. They try. They are rejected. They try again and again. There are so many obstacles on their way.
We want to open the gate of birth, childhood, and adolescence again, to open it to real human becoming on earth and in the wide cosmos. But this can only be done if we approach it as etheric human beings, capable of producing and working with the new life forces. We must follow and support the incarnation process from the etheric world before birth and through the whole of life, as the etheric human beings, so that we can always draw from the source of eternal life, the etheric Christ forces, before birth, in childhood, in adolescence, in life as a whole, throughout our whole biography. Biography must be made whole, encompassing our life between birth and death, and death and birth.
The gate of death, as we pointed out on other occasions, is really opening up. There is no problem there. The most important and urgent thing today, the most difficult thing, is birth, not death, and the etheric forces of the etheric Christ that lead those millions near-death experiences, also stand at the gate of birth. But there they need our active cooperation. After all, everybody dies who is already born, though this also becomes very difficult for popple how aren’t ready to enter the spiritual world. The fast spreading Euthanasia practice in many countries, is the result of this. But all people who are born, must die eventually, but the unborn can be prevented from birth. It's not an equal situation with birth and death. With birth, things are getting very difficult. With death, it's still going quite all right, especially because people don't stop killing each other and now also themselves. But with birth, it's increasingly difficult.
Therefore, this is why it's so important today to say: we come to our school meetings as one come to a practical workshop, construction site or carpentry, when something real must be produced. It’s not a place for mystical musings and self-enjoyment through imbibing, like babies, profound spiritual ideas and mutual sharing of egotistical warmth; it is a place of work, that must produce wholly concrete, tangible, real, etheric products. What we do in our meetings is our main goal: to let the etheric human being in us grow so powerfully that we can work with the etheric life forces, to give true life to the incarnating souls, to the children, adolescents and adult of the present age of Michael.
We spoke about the anguish and hindrances facing the incarnating souls. This is the same as the utter distress and misery of the youth today, becoming young in the grave of this civilization. There was never a time in human evolution in which the young people, were so desolate, so separated, so thrown onto their own resources as today. There were always differences between generations, misunderstandings, and rebellion. This is far beyond that, utterly on the other side of the threshold. Today, there is no problem betweengenerations because to have problems, misunderstanding, and conflicts, you must still have at least some connections; today there is absolutely no connection anymore. The youth and adults live in totally different worlds. And youth let alone for themselves, even the best souls, and many of them are wonderful, inspiring, tremendously radiating souls, if left to their own resources, if they have no guidance from truly mature adults to connect to, they cannot achieve what they have to achieve in this life. Some isolated souls do find the strength to break through, but the majority breaks down. They need us, as mature, spiritualized, adults, to guide them and live with them. And this can only be done if we work with etheric forces, with forces of healing that give the meaning of life as only real life forces can do, not as words, not as concepts, not as theories, but as real forces that we give to the young, that we give to children, that we give to the unborn, that we give to those in the middle of life crisis in the grave of civilization, that we reverently offer to the old and dying, and to the souls that accompany us from the spiritual world after death.
Therefore, we must go to school meetings with one purpose, in mind, heart and will. We have the renewed foundation stone to take the Christ into us in spirit, soul and body, thinking, feeling and will, head, heart and limbs. We take the Christ into our entire begin, as a creative force. We don't do it to enjoy ourselves. We want to meet each other through creating living etheric substance, and through this substance we want to meet their divine soul-spiritual being and create together living, creative, life giving Michaelic community in the 21stcentury. We join the school of Michael to learn the science, art, craft and cultus to become life-creators, life-givers, life healers. Otherwise, when the time comes, and we begin to create our presence in social media, and the college begins to develop teaching programs, seminars, and workshops, and we meet increasingly more and more people, it will be just another bunch of people taking about the walk they never took nor intend to walk, spreading life-less airy-fairy, disembodied, ‘spiritual knowledge’ . There are enough of them out there in the world. We will humbly try to actually walk this Michaelic talk and actualize it in all practica branches and fields of real life.
When we begin to reach out to the world and work with the real world, we need the whole school community on fire, not only behind us but with us, working with us, contributing those life forces to the college, working with the college when it comes to real-life tasks. We need the whole school community on fire with us as a creative source and inspiration, that we can receive from and rely upon, to use and apply your forces in our work.
This is immensely important to realize from now on that you should strive in each school meeting, in each meeting with one another, to gather at the end of the meeting all the forces you produced, and after you give it up in the reversed cultus to the Angels, Archangels and Archai, and receive them back strengthened and spiritualized, that you feel the substance, feel the power, feel your etheric humanity growing and maturing, and feel how want with your entire communal being radiate the newly gained life forces out into the real world. Finish each meeting by asking yourself: do I feel the forces of life surging up, growing up in me, flourishing and ripening into life giving, nourishing, human fruits? Do I feel more alive, more real than before? Can I share this gift now with the real world? And the real result of all our work will be that at the end of each meeting, we will have this feeling of surplus, of an extra life force, of a new amount of creative love, a new quality and quantity of etheric forces, that we must not think about, but feel in our body, heart and hands. The heart and hands should be warmed, vibrate, seek to stream and radiate this abundance surplus of life to the world. We should feel that we can heal and bless, that we can really lay our hands and heal the wounded souls, the wounded hearts, the wounded people, the wounded natural kingdoms and the wounded mother earth. That's what is absolutely required today, those practical, healing etheric hearts and hands and the will of healing, that pours forth from us as naturally as our outbreathing.
In this manner, after more than a century, finally, all the deeply significant knowledge of spiritual science will not be lost to humanity; it will be resurrected from the grave of civilization and become the life giving, soul healing, karma redeeming, forces of Anthroposophia, healing and blessings through our etheric hearts and hands. Then you can approach children or youth, adults and old, from all nations and races and genders, and do some real work in the real world, which is our next task. As we said many times, the Michaelic age is coming to its middle very soon. The first century was not a great success, as you know. Things on the earth are not getting better, as we all know. It should not come to pass that the second century of Michael will be lost as the first one, because we have only three full centuries and some more years. The actualization of true Anthroposophia in the second century of Michael is absolutely necessary, and our task is to show that this path is doable, it's practical, and can be accomplished by all people of good will.
So, dear friends, let use all our spiritual, soul and etheric forces, to ensure that the etheric human being is growing in each one of us. Let's feed, nourish, foster him. Let's grow and develop him to make him a mature, powerful, creative, joyful, a veritable force of love and healing and actualize it in in real deeds in the real world.
